The Triple Nickle, America's first black Paratroopers, take the historic leap not just for their qualifications as Paratroopers but for the eventual integration of the Army. The picture was hand-drawn by Veteran Justin Crain using deep blue tones not only to encapsulate the majestic sky that the later smokejumpers would stare into before jumping but also the disparaging hardships these men went through for fighting for equality.
